Monster Hunter Wilds:
Still a lot I could do, but I'm about ready to put it down. Awesome game. Loved running charge blade for this game, and the monster selection for the main game was pretty great. Unfortunately, this game does not look as good or run as well as it should. Def needed more time.

First four issues of this run really feels like Hopeless just droning through the Spider-verse tie-ins, but once that's all done and Rodriguez gets on art, the writing and art quality jump is immeasurable. Jessica might be my favorite girl failure ever now.
I liked it, but I can't really help but feel how much more consistent season 1 was. Even with two of the strongest episodes so far under its belt, the whole vibe is just off. The eeriness and unnerving atmosphere is diminished, which even at its zaniest was maintained before.
An extremely cute and heartwarming series. Seeing Jess experience the new chapter of motherhood in her life while staying to true to herself makes for such a great low stakes adventure. Porcupine is also an absolute delight and is what all men should strive to be.
Certainly the most unique film I've seen in this year. The introduction of this movie absolutely does not prepare you for Oshii's bizarre take on a neo-noir thriller, but it excels in capturing the dream like vibe it aims for. Probably warrants a 2nd watch in the future.
Somehow manages to surpass the insanity of the first film while also celebrating the medium of Japanese animation with many nods to classic tropes. The designs for the league members all bang, and to my shock, we get the sickest BvS iteration in this film.
A delightful little romp through a surrealist hellscape. You can see so much of the artistry being put into this game with this first chapter alone, with it's visual stylistic diversity and all of its multilingual voice talent. I'm already dying for me.
