Lee was a fascinating woman and I highly recommend the book 18 Tiny Deaths: The Untold Story of Frances Glessner Lee and the Invention of Modern Forensics by Bruce Goldfar.
It's #InternationalWomensDay! The forensic scientist Frances Glessner Lee created real crime scene dioramas to train homicide investigators in the 1940s/50s. She was troubled that patrolmen and detectives rarely knew how to secure a scene, or identify key evidence in a forensic investigation.
