My interest was piqued when Melanie Joly threw her support behind Mr. Carney, and then Sean Fraser. These are two solid liberals with great passion for Canada, and the Liberal party.
The only people looking for real change from the Liberals are those who have had their thought processes poisoned by the relentless propaganda operation that was executed against PM Trudeau, helped by all the media. He was doing a fantastic job for Canadians. Shame on Liberals that turned on him.
I really think Liberals need to accept Carney as their leader. Freeland cannot win and she needs to put her personal ambitions aside for the good of the country. Now is not the time for a leadership race. Too many Conservatives are trying to register as Liberals to interfere.
She cannot win the next election. She needs to step aside. Liberals don’t like what she did to PM Trudeau and I really don’t think in this climate that a woman can win I wish this was not so but in these times, we have to be realistic.
I thought we had gotten beyond whether a woman could win but we are quickly sliding backwards. I do not feel we can take a chance at this time of letting Conservatives form the Government. They will set us back even further. I am supporting Mark Carney for Leader.
I support Mark Carney as well, because of the extraordinary breadth and depth of his experience and knowledge. I would've supported him also, had he been female!
Politics especially the gutter politics Poilievre represents can be very toxic to your health. I noticed this too, Sean looks far more happier now and PM Trudeau does also. They will still be involved in politics in someway in the future.

I think Sean is gearing to be Premier of Nova Scotia, he mentioned family in his resignation and probably wants to stay closer to home in NS. Can't say I blame him, he's a good guy.
I see history repeating itself, literally doin what the Americans just did. Anointed status quo candidate, running on vote for me, other guy bad. What is he gonna do for us? A bunch of vague promises with no real plan other than to say, 'everything's goin good actually' after the fact.
She is also too closely tied to PMJT. Regardless if you or I like him or his record there is a large swath of voters who planned to abstain voting or vote CON. Singh has the same issue, he is tied to PMJT. Anything that keeps votes from PP getting a majority is good in my books.

Carney is a gift. We are very fortunate that he is willing.
It would be a shame to lose either of them to private industry. They're both worthy leaders.
