muck up Alaska trump, they would hunt you down in a New York minute. Alaska wants to join 🇨🇦
The request came in 2024, so Canada needs to gear up.
EU countries are at a stand point: they want to be able to prevent a Russian expansion, in the Arctic or in Europe.
Troubled times... It starting to feel like 1962 all over again.
No alert siren drills.
No atomic shelter drills.
No soldiers on guard on street corners...
yet.
That was 1962 (Cuban missiles crisis).
They started this. They can’t be allowed to continue. We are fighting for our sovereignty.

South Korea's K-III subs are also in the running. Hopefully, Canada can get a bidding war going to save some cash and get the new subs quickly (<10 years would be warp speed for a navy.)
The benefit is...no need for very expensive domestic production of a tiny quantity of warships.
We can also produce the fuel.
Canada already manufacturers missiles and smaller rockets.
Just change the payload.
They'll need foreign built diesel-electric subs in the meantime.
So the French are going to build it for them?
If France lays down a new SSN in 2027 the 1st attack sub would be available to Canada by the late 2030s. The last (of four) by the late 2040s.
So Canada still needs a diesel-electric sub in the meantime.
Sometimes its better to buy a NEW one off the lot, then to order something special and wait 8 years, so the next gov't cancels the order
Now, making minimal changes to an existing sub type, like the South Korean K-III subs would likely speed up the procurement process.
Several years back the forces needed new helmets.
We could have bought excellent off the shelf ones for a few hundred each.
The custom special ones we ordered cost many many times more than that.
If Canada is really willing to do this...I'm sure DCNS would love it. If the price is right. 😉
France makes fighter jets we could buy.
France wants to work on technology exchange programs with Canada.
Canada could cancel the F35s, buy some Rafale fighter jets to gain jobs/tech and be included in the Future Combat Air System.
BTW Rafales 1/2
Dassault is also involved in drone projects.
Canada could use some of that tech and build our own drones.
Support countries that support Canada!

Imagine, if we had PP as PM in the last 9 yrs. Would he make the EU leaders - and all others - comfortable enough, so they'd want to have anything to do with us now?
After 9 yrs of PP, we'd only deal with dictators, sending all our $ straight to da Moonies.
We already hold a debt to Airbus for saving our Aircraft Manufacturing industry.
We should also start have training missions of NATO or EU and Canadian soldiers all along border strategically placed 😊
They're not carrying north Korean hardware
Vive La France!
Got a tour inside the sub
Really cool and small
Too bad we bought the British rejects.
Can we have your nuclear attack sub?
Just wanna flex a little muscle.
Merci beaucoup
XOX 😘

S637 "Tourville" is a nuclear powered submarine--ie., for the propeller (well, propulsor in this case). This gives it "unlimited" underwater range.

Now please get back to fucking USA up. 😉
Although the French sub's arrival in Halifax was scheduled before Nazis took control of the US...the optics of the French Navy visiting Canada is absolutely delightful.
As an Illinoisan, I stand with my more free neighbor. 🇨🇦 😘
I hope you take your Country Back Sooner than later.
We don't blame Real Americans who voted.
Although it would be possible for France to 'base' nuclear weapons in Canada, the French would control them.
If Canada wants nukes, it'll have to develop them alone.
The French Suffren-class subs are one of the most capable attack submarines in the world. Any nuke umbrella would be from the four big beautiful French boomers with 16 SLBMs each, 6 nukes per missile.
Although it seems unlikely to ever make a port call....outside of France. 😘
But it will need to massively increase defense output to make up for the loss of the US as a supplier. The US is NOT to be trusted.
Stay strong. Stay free!
In the meantime, Europe (or the rest of NATO) needs an alternative.
I feel sorry for non MAGA Americans.
France's nuclear deterrent force acting as an "umbrella" for Canada due to US aggression.
Well, shit...the US is basically a nation controlled by Nazis with nuclear weapons & lunatics at the helm. [shudder]
We have everything needed unlike most nations. Canada is a Uranium super power to start.
I've read we could have Dirty bombs built in about a month.
Nukes are 1940s technology after all.
However, the cost of doing so while setting up proper command and control of nukes would be fuc*ing massive.
France lost custody of the original Canada many years ago. England took over, give us a few half-brothers around the world (Australia, New-Zealand... and the US that picked a fight and with the help of France took off).
France showing interest when things are heated between 🇨🇦🇺🇸.
They can't help a realm, let alone a member of the Commonwealth? And they invite Trump for a state visit, before King Charles has come to Canada for his Coronation trip.(mind you, the King was sick, & now we have an election coming)
And South Korea said they would be interested in supplying support whether to buy or what naught.
Keep us updated pls.
It's never good to be in conflict with a nuclear holding country(USA) without any nuclear friends nearby. 🇫🇷can stay as long as they like ❤️🇨🇦
Paris, Toulouse, Lyon, Bordeaux and surrounding wine region, amazing rural towns and villages, and the Mediterranean regions with beaches and palm trees.
Lol
NATO Article 5 is a collective defense clause stating that an armed attack against one or more NATO members is considered an attack against all members, obligating them to assist the attacked party. It has only been invoked once, following the September 11 attacks in 2001.
we're trying to buy some subs :)
