They literally created the issues themselves.

All they have to do is dismantle and eliminate every gender stereotype that THEY CREATED.

This is on THEM.

Once someone gets that part, it will make sense.

When I was learning what it all meant myself, this phrase was impactful for me:

It took me far too long to understand this. Partly because I grew up in an ultra conservative region, and partly because I was totally oblivious to the fact that since I knew who and what I was, other people must too.

I keep coming back to an experience I had in 1st grade: my class being taught about opposites. We had a list of examples. Very quickly, it filled up with things like "dog/cat" and "boy/girl." The teacher just kept saying "good example," while I wanted to scream.
