my therapist always told me that there was no point borrowing trouble. you're either going to waste energy worrying, and it's not going to happen, OR it *is* going to happen, and you've now spent twice as long dealing with it because you spent so long worrying about it.
obviously, easier said than done. but when I catch myself spiraling about things outside of my control, I try to ground myself in the moment. instead of worrying myself sick, I can spend my time planning and working and being happy. we'll deal with the bad things when we have to.
