It's kind of amazing how there are VERY few enemies in other Soulsborne games that don't evoke the same panic and fear that a room of torch Hollows from DaS1 does. The only ones that come close for me are chalic dungeon enemies not in the main Bloodborne campaign

I hate super serious questions on any social media but is DS1 actually “harder” early on than other games of its ilk? I never got hooked despite playing both the orig and remaster for a while so I never tried any other of its kind.

It depends how you define "hard," but compared to ELDEN RING, the only other FromSoft game I've played, I'd say it's about the same, maybe a bit easier
