We're discussing the lack of JUICE that DCU has added this offseason and what it says about the club's ambition.
My thought is that Troy/Ally exited some player profiles they didn't think fit and filled with profiles that do.
"Fit" being tactically, culturally, etc. No one thing.

Have some of these foundational question marks pay off and watch my buy in skyrocket!

We know Herrera is awesome.
We know Bartlett is solid.
We know Stroud will run his socks off.
Schnegg being a quality LB.
Kijima having a season like Stroud did last year.
Joon being a quality GK.
Peltola being a quality soccer player.
Barajas is a young player who has tasted success in the league.
Antley, Murrell, MacNaughton, Barraza/Farr are quality backups
If Pirani takes another step forward.
If Enow is fully settled after a half season in MLS.
If Leal can stay healthy.
If they scouted Peglow correctly.
If Rowles settles the defense. (This is most important)
If one of the Servania/Rida/ Karamoko dice roll hits.
One of two scenarios:
-DCU buys out a half year of Klich and snags a DP
-DCU adds at least one U22 signing
OR
-DCU adds a U22 signing
Which would mean they wait til the winter to go all in on a DP signing.
No idea the metric for choosing which scenario
Buyout rules state that you cannot buyout contracts that have been traded. you can buyout a waived player, but not a player you traded (because you received compensation for that player in some form).
in short, Klich is on the books till 26.
(Hard to tell that they've used it yet anyway, but also I don't think it becomes available until the season starts?)
This deal makes not a lick of sense.
Can't wait til the oral history.
What will keep me invested is:
1. continued buy in from the players
2. continued investment from ownership
3. continued growth of Troy as a coach
Check those boxes and I'll be patient.
