It's a "cracking yarn". Hard to choose which of his books to feature, but this one is definitely one of the best.

I started with "Snow Crash" and loved the "Baroque Cycle" books, and most recently "D.O.D.O."...

I've tried and keep failing to get into D.O.D.O. But I'm willing to listen to reason. Give me a good one for jumping back into it. The first few chapters were such a slog for me. I loved CRYPTONOMICON, so all is not lost.

I think if the first few chapters didn't grab you it probably isn't going to get any better if you push on.

It is probably my least favorite of his stuff that I've read. Not terrible, but didn't capture me as much as the Baroque Cycle and Cryptonomicon!

I haven't tried DODO. The one I struggled with was Dodge In Hell.

I started with Snow Crash too. Cryptonomicon is really good too as are Reamde, Anathem and Termination Shock. Dodge In Hell had it's moments, but didn't light my fire.

Haven't read DODO yet.
