It’s a fair argument that Schumer and Durbin should be whipping their own caucus against more of the nominees, but there definitely isn’t some arcane clause in the Senate rules that will stop the majority leader from putting a nomination on the floor and 50 Senators + a tiebreaker confirming them.
I'm getting real confused at all the screaming calls for Senate Dems to stop confirmation of nominees they don't have the votes to stop confirmation of. How should they be doing this, exactly?
