Safe Streets folks. Are there any easy tools/ways to add safe streets elements to a photo of a street? As in, "In image A we have the current street. In B we see what it would look like w a raised crosswalk and curb bump out." PS: I am not a graphic designer. If I'm on a fools errand, plz advise. - ThreadSky

No easy suggestion, sorry.

We've created renderings using a street or aerial photo as the base, then using GIMP (a graphic editing program) to draw stuff on top of it.

That would be awesome! The intersection is 33rd Street and Union. Specifically the north half of the intersection. It's a 2-lane 1-way now with stop lights. We are proposing that the lights be replaced with stop signs and curb bump outs and raised xwalks be added.

Using AI would be the easiest way, but it might not look good, be affordable, or sustainable.
If you wanted to try photoshopping, it wouldn’t be too difficult depending on the change.

I second streetmix. Also, don’t underestimate PowerPoint. It’s pretty easy to draw on top of a Google Maps screen grab. This has been a helpful way to start a conversation and get people thinking about possibilities.
