There are of course divorce as well as death considerations. Whilst one is inevitable, the other (at 42% marriage failure rate) is just nudging below likely
Ah, you're one of those 'deliberately misunderstand everything' people.
It's nothing to do with entering a loving relationship.
It's more aimed at people already in a loving relationship who might want to consider that if they get married eg they could pass on far more inheritancr to their children.
I mean this should be blindingly obvious but there's always some idiot who has to pretend ignorance.
If you are already in a loving relationship there are potential financial benefits to getting married. But, and here's the shocking thing, you *don't have to*! It's just for information.
Wow, you accused me of misunderstanding then literally prove my point
If people are in a loving relationship and have decided not to get married, that's fine
To introduce finance degrades the relationship, married or not
No it doesn't. You're being ridiculous.
Many people in loving relationships who aren't that bothered either way about marriage might well decide that the financial benefits would be really helpful. It doesn't change their relationship.
(Your comments frankly say weirder things about you)
Maybe I'm old fashioned but I disagree. Now we have marriage & civil partnerships for people of all genders / sexual orientations so nobody is discriminated against I feel like we should encourage marriage or civil p' as it is a bedrock to a stable society.
How do you feel it acts as a bedrock to a stable society? I’ve been together with my partner for well over two decades - a lot longer than many of my married / formerly married friends have managed.
