I wish there was a potty chart app that’d let you and your friends share charts together so you can compare your training stats, get alerts when you or your friends update their charts so everyone knows you’re totally having huge accidents 🦖🙏🏻

Migrating before i start going on tangents, but you brought up a pretty good point

Hosting everything privately rather than cloud based would do a lot for anonymity, but anything on top of that is a pretty big go for this community

You should also probably do a benchmark analysis for the kinda hardware infra needed for the userbase... i cant imagine itd be too large, but babyfurs can surprise you ;P

Honestly, stylizing and gamifying the stats is going to be the chisel point i feel, building that retention with iterative stats contests, profile pages you could bsky link to, general group comparison functionality would go a long way to pull and hold people lmao

im less worried about load, more about stack complexity. anything that involves notifications for user a when user b "does something" involves a real time database, for which there are robust OSS solutions, but the #1 i can think of (supabase) is hosted on top of k8s which is a pita to admin.

Gosh going cloud based would make the virtualized architecture a breeze, but worrying about consumer privacy and provider shenanigans have to make it harder
