And that's not the version of Christianity that bothers me. It's the version that gets read literally and used as a weapon of hate that bothers me.

It's the usurping of the Bible and the messages within it to convince people that hating their neighbor is ok and even sanctioned by God.

Christianity is slowly turning into a club where you aren't "cool" with God if you don't hate LGBTQIA, if you don't have 500 guns, if you don't watch Fox news (or the crazier varieties), and these ideas are being forcibly bullied into public discourse by the emboldened right who feel put upon.
