Chappelle's fall still hurts. I still don't understand how someone who was so incisive and understanding of prejudice and made a career out of that for decades, can become a bigot in what seemed like a matter of months.

He actually got paid a fair chunk by Netflix by asking them to pay for hosting the Chappelle Show and him not receiving anything for it, despite him having technically no ownership of the work.

It was a rare W for an artist, and I hope others receive the same compensation in the future.

I think like many of us genx he grew up without any notion of what trans folks are and a whole bag of prejudice to unpack and that's conflicted with his lifelong experience of racism and oppression as a Black man and maybe he figures instinctively its a zero-sum game as far as oppression goes, idk

we already know for sure that Crissy Teigen had an anonymous alt account she could be "Funny" on and it bombed horribly so she went back to her regular account, it is almost certainly the case that Elon did this too.
