I tend to like white roses with green notes a lot. It smells clean and fresh without being too in-your-face juicy.

My current favorite rosy perfume is this rose & chypre blend that smells like a freshly cut bouquet still wet from the gardener’s hose.

My absolute favorite floral note is muguet. My # 1 go-to perfume when I want to smell nice but not overwhelming is a blend of muguet, oak, and golden amber. And it really does smell “golden!” It’s bright and warm, so I always wear it when I need to cheer myself up or feel confident.

I’m also partial to aged leather mixed with crystal musk or wet sugar, and incense notes that make me feel like I’m in a church or some hole-in-the-wall spiritual bookstore.

Never heard them called “flavors”- fragheads usually say “notes”. But actually it’s interesting because flavor and smell are closely related. I’ve been told that you cannot tell if you’re eating an apple or an onion if you pinch your nostrils closed. I have never tried this 😂

the way this works is usually by collaborating with a perfume house. I have some names I dream of working with but the downside is fragrances are expensive. oil-based less so but that's not my thing. still if Regime des Fleurs or Room 1015 or Le Jardin Retrouvé gave me a call...

I'm such a mark for incense notes. Probably nothing to do with the intense time I had from age 8-13 converting (& being confirmed early) into Catholicism before pronouncing myself Agnostic. (I had a disagreement with a priest in the confessional)
