I need to give Brisk another try. I used it the end of last year and it felt too robotic and the comments felt stif and repetitive. I moved onto SchoolAI but maybe I need to give Brisk another try. We use Docs to write but not Google Classroom so chrome extensions are less of a priority.

I like Magic School for feedback for sure, but when I need receipts on the document replay especially with large copy/paste events Brisk is my go to.

This is a very helpful summary of the tools-thank you. There is an assumption that everyone is typing though! While high stakes exams remain handwritten (in the UK) we need students to keep practising the skills of rapid handwriting & editing…for now…

I love the meta data that Revision History makes so visible. Just knowing how much time a student spent working on their doc can be the first indicator of authenticity. Check out the active writing time in this example.

Thank you for the recommendation of the Revision History extension - it really does put the essential info front and center. I also love that it shows up when grading Docs in Clasroom.

There have always been students like that. If we are finding that number rising, it does suggest we examine ways we can create a more relevant learning experience. We share some responsibility for their disengagement.
