Yes, I'm going to have to come up with a Plan B. I wonder what's free of PFAS? Some nylon bands contain them, too. Canvas, perhaps, though I worry about bacteria build-up, too.

I was going to say likely leather depending on what it’s treated with, if at all. Wood as well. There are wood watch brands.

As an aside, it’s so damn ubiquitous, I’m always just trying to control what I can because I know it’s in things I can’t control. Like rainwater.
