Just heard about “Libby” recently. The library app where you can download digital content and read on your phones & tablets. Might have gotten a few details wrong but that’s the gist.
My library just defended a book that some community members deemed "unsuitable" for children - and I couldn't be more proud of their stalwart support of inclusivity and families.
I know, it’s almost as if there’s some crazy link, between reading and not making rape threats and racist slurs to strangers on social media . Madness !
Libraries were my safe harbour from a traumatic home life. I was totally free and safe in my local library and nobody censored my curiosity or inquiry... probably saved my sanity. Those were the best times of my childhood...

There are hundreds in each city. I have found so many great books in some of these little libraries, usually in front of someone’s house.
