Itβs gotta be greedy store owners and manufacturers. Inflation has done nothing but go up since 1/6. Just because a country almost sends all of their treasury bonds to zero is no reason for that countries currency to lose that much value? Right?
My guess is currency devaluation from almost sending all of our treasury bonds to zero on 1/6. When everything accounted for in dollars goes up from prices to salaries to the market, then the driving factor of the increase is currency devaluation not market driven inflation.
I have always wondered, that why the food is so expensive and of lower quality in the US, than in some European countries. Germany for instance. Isn't unhinged capitalism at least supposed to produce cheaper goods?
A few companies have monopolies. They work with each other to set prices and make in record profits. They undersell and bankrupt any smaller business that tries to help people. Then Jack the price up again. That's how Walmart did it.
There are only 182 lidl stores in 10 states in the USA. There are 2443 Aldi stores in 39 states. Walmart has 4,614 stores in 52 states. Count in kroger and target and you have a much higher number of stores. Not to mention the food deserts. We need more lidl and Aldi.
CEOs are the real reason we got screwed in the election.
Greedy CEos admitted they colluded to raise prices just for profits which gave Trump his main talking point.
Yep, prices went up when supply chain was snarled by COVID and then never went back to where they'd been. The dog food I buy, for example. Had been $42 for a 30-pound bag for ages. During COVID it went up to $60 and size was reduced to 26 pounds. And there it stays. π€·ββοΈ
Iβm sure they are SO HAPPY to have everyone blaming Joe Biden, while they laugh all the way to the bank. Prices probably will come down once Trump takes office, only because they are afraid of him. Heβs nuts.
Would also be an idea to ask how Biden/Harris managed to make grocery prices high in Canada, the UK, France, Australia, etc. βΊοΈ The Dems didn't fight on this, as usual. They rolled over.

Itβs so low they canβt even realistically even have supermarkets in higher crime areas because theyβd lose money to theft

And it's those companies who buy commercial time on their networks. π‘
kroger and the big chains are allowed to roll up smaller stores.
competition dies.
government can't/won't stop it.
people get squeezed and harmed.
this is social violence.
Why are prices so high if the company is making record profits?
I want to hear them say itπ
