I have only read about this and spoken to one young man I’ve known for years. I sensed an arrogance in him that I hadn’t noticed before. Cubans were welcomed in and assimilated easily. They didn’t have the same experiences that other immigrants have had. They were wealthy and well-educated.

Depends on the generation and also level of education, region and your financial situation. Puerto Rico had no choice in the matter when we were invaded by the USA and they decided to give us citizenship at birth. Others might resent this assuming we are all so grateful or act superior for that...

Just like in USA I believe majority aren't that ignorant, hateful and/or narcissistic but those are the ones that always grab the bullhorn. I grew in Puerto Rico watching novelas, movies & shows from Mexico, Venezuela & we had singers come from Spain & all Hispanic countries that became part of us.
