Sad that we'll never get the original Robert Jordan story, as he wrote it for the millions of the novel fans. This "reimagined" fanfic version is ok, but it's NOT what we fell in love with for decades
If new writers want a new plot & storyline, they should simply pitch a new series. #TheWheelOfTime
I am absolutely loving the story - I think theyβve done a fantastic job of adapting it for the screen and updating it for modern audiences. It has everything I fell in love with Robert Jordanβs original works plus new awesome pieces of the story.
Adopting is fine. My point is the sadness that we'll never get real original story, as written. Instead, we're only getting reimagined/adapted writer fanfic ideas... Some work, some do not.
Haibo, pls it is not that deep. The show is great and of course it is reimagined. Why is that bad? I am trusting that this was in good faith and u are not trolling the fandom.
After 5 years and coming up on the release of season 3, I'd lean towards trolling.
The good thing about the show is that it isn't the books. Most of it is what we didn't see in the books. It can complement rather than being the same. We also get new content and new fans. Win win.
I see your point... Using it as a reference or add-on to the original series.
Yet- I'd still like to see the actual story, with primary plot points & characters... Getting the opportunity to see the real, original story, as written.
Then could have added fanfic-esque and add-on material after that

I mean, it's got to be.
Slaps self in face.

It's there. We just couldn't see it past the books.
