Americans, and to a lesser degree westerners in general, are psychologically incapable of viewing any geopolitical issue except through the lens of American racial history.

The world is divided into brown victims and white oppressors, and we don’t need any understanding more complex than that!

The oddest part about it in this case is that the vast majority of Jews and Palestinians are genetic cousins. It’s truly bizarre to make this racial. Antisemites pushing hard the idea that most Jews are just Poles of a different religion and that Palestinians are like the Māori of the Levant.

Even me, as a convert… I have genetic ancestry from Cyprus, Greece, and the Aegean islands. I have a genetic connection to the Levant and probably to ancient Philistine and Greek colonists in Israel/Palestine, certainly not of a different “race” than Palestinians. And nobody in the region is “pure.”

They couldn’t accept it and so they either pretended to themselves that it didn’t actually happen or tried to justify it to themselves in their own mind because they’ve been so sheltered from harsh realities that those who don’t live in privilege deal with.

I have tried using my platform to educate people during the past 18 months. Some of you have listened and that's great. But there are those of have ignored or outright unfriended and blocked their Jewish friends. They've shown no interest in learning despite going all-in on anti-racism in 2020.

If someone isn't willing to educate themselves about what antisemitism is, about what certain phrases mean to their Jewish friends (if they still have any Jewish friends, for that matter), I don't know what more I can do. Other than realize that there are people who are no longer safe to be around.

Dems who are absolutely incapable of seeing their own double standards & biases, even when you push hard.

I don't think it's antisemitism per se, but it is a binary where Jews Don't Count.
