There is a long way to go before we get to the size of government that tax receipts cover.
Keep tax rates just as they are. But find spending that can be eliminated.
When I ran an engineering firm, we paid about 20%. Less than nurses. But we paid 20% on $3 million annual income. So, the straight dollar amount was way more than any employee. BTW, we also matched the employees' tax deductions.
