There are a lot of people who are eager to work on furry projects, especially VNs, and end up doing work like editing, coding, and other work that the creators don't want to do.

They justify it by "letting you see it early for free" or giving you credit to the project. (which some people don't ☺️)

Trust me when I say this: devs who do this are NOT your friends. If you weren't friends before, most likely you won't be after.

Editing, coding, writing, and music are all important and deserve compensation. The creator doesn't get to take all the earnings for work they didn't do.

I understand that many of these projects are passion projects and don't have the money to spend around. But like I've said, if there's a patreon or you're making money off the works of others, that's pretty shitty! While they may be okay with it, it doesn't mean it's right.

Making a game or VN is harder than it looks. And it is incredibly draining.

It's why most of them never get finished. But volunteer work doesn't solve that.

Be smart and scope your projects fully. Know what you can do and set reasonable goals.
