What Labour-in-name-only fail to tell people is that almost half of the "benefit bill" is pensions, closely followed by "in-work benefits" ( #CorporateWelfare ), then the disabled/carers and the tiny amount left is the unemployed. (1/4)

Most of the electorate believe pensions aren't (or shouldn't be) classed as benefits, so LINO could go back to not including pensions in benefit calculations and voila - benefits bill more than halved! Show #CorporateWelfare as a separate item and again, the "benefits bill" shrinks. (2/4)

It's only resorting back to how the "benefits bill" was calculated before the Tories gerrymandered it to demonise anyone relying on SOCIAL SECURITY (yes, they also renamed it to further demoralise and demonise the most vulnerable) (3/4 )

This would also go some way towards repairing LINOs relationship with pensioners after the WFA debacle, even the furthest RW voters don't believe pensions should be classed as a "benefit", there is literally no downside to this (4/4)
