Then everyone that was physically punished would be like me.
Everyone from my generation was physically punished, more so.
But they were the ones acting like they wanted peace, and me the only weirded out by it.
I'm not pretentious enough to assume I was more enlightened than every other kid.

I'm not saying that it is, there's a lot of factors when it comes to behavioral development. I asked about this specifically because it stood out to me as related to someone who had gotten assaulted, and chose to believe that not only should have happened, but it was natural to have happened

that response sounded very similar to a response that I had had during my childhood when I was traumatized. Therefore, I wanted to check to see if that was indeed coming from a similar source. In my opinion, it was.

Now, obviously details differ and other aspects have an impact on this kind of thing. However, I would implore you to take a look at this line of thinking internally and see if there's a chance that it could be coming from an unfortunate situation that didn't actually represent reality

To put it another way, it is not justified in the law for criminals to be assaulted in the course of their punishments. Adult criminals. The bar for your treatment while you were a child was lower than adult criminals.
