I feel having a section in your TTRPG source book called "How to Play [Your TTRPG Here]" covers both bases.
Imo, these sections are also important for people (both players and GMs) to get an overview of what they are getting into, so they can more easily digest the rest of the book.

People debate adding “what is a roleplaying game” sections for folks new to the hobby, but rarely adding “what this roleplaying game is *not*” for those who have played just one (you know which) TTRPG and bring a lot of attendant baggage with them to their next game that’s better left behind
