Since Kayli’s tweet had a reader added context note slapped onto it, I’ll go ahead and add my own here:
Nathan Nokes is either lying, or being lied to.
Nathan Nokes is either lying, or being lied to.

Should I called her a hypocrite dumbass instead?
Cope all you want, she is a piece of shit
Right now - Crossing the line makes you look garbage, and you just can't defend it. They did it. Simple as.
Community Notes: This person is obviously lying because this other person tweeted about the same situation and thus his word should be treated as the unquestioned truth.
X, the everything app everybody!
Sorry, MISinformed.
I can't believe I was a fan of yours. Never meet your heroes.
Like even IF everything in that note was true, it doesn’t make what Kayli said incorrect.
Either way, it’s sad
Either citations aren't on the screen cap or none were provided by the noter. If the latter is true then that calls its credibility into question.
Because, yes, while testimony IS evidence... "I talked to the guy, trust me, bro" is a very, very poor source for a Community Note.
Because unless you think "right to work" capitalism fending for yourself is better, no one should be having to argue with you about this.
What else is anyone supposed to say? They can’t negotiate without those companies providing a legal structure to work within.
I hate it as well.
What do you think should happen?
There’s no real alternative.
Until he announced his role the way he did, nobody had any reason to talk to him
After the announcement, it was clear he was trying to manipulate things
I do not agree with threats of violence
But anger was justified.
Do you genuinely believe an entire union of actors deserves to be condemned because of them?
My post is about someone defending a scab irresponsibly
There is no implication of condoning harassment.
Unless you think it’s just everyone associated with this doing it.
Otherwise, why did you suggest *that*?
This is what you sound like.
But keep thinking what you want.
Scabbing does not mean "working on a project that someone is striking."
Scabbing is specifically the act of replacing someone who is currently striking.
1/2
Factory A is striking
Factory B is not striking
Both factories are owned by the same company.
Workers at factory B are not scabbing.
But if someone comes in to work at Factory A, they are scabbing.
2/2
So no, other people working on other projects are not scabs.
In general in industry style jobs it is considered good form to stand with strikers. Even if you aren’t in that union.
Even internationally people stand with strikers. It’s about standing up for your peers. Not bowing to abusers for a quick buck.
Yes, if a UK VA were to take a striking VAs spot that would make them a scab.
A JP VA working a JP role is not a scab.
They are two different but similar industries.
"good form" aside, is the UK union obligated to follow US union? Does that mean the US union think they have a right to EN performances?
If neither are, then how come Jacob is one?
If both JP and EN are, then I think that is ridiculous.
It doesn’t matter their nationality as they are replacing someone striking.
A JP VA working a role in JP isn’t taking the place of a striking English actor.
Because the strike was initially against companies that SAG had contracts with. Instead genshin was just caught in the crossfire of SAG actually enforcing their "global rule one" because hoyo games are non union projects.
It’s sort of an offshoot of the big one.
Not to mention China where they are based has strict AI regulations of its own.
This would be fine in regards to ai gen images or text. But for voice it's completely nonsensical
With point B, as long as you don't mention the performer or character name in the prompt, you can still gen their voice. Super obvious loophole
Think old timey, a group striking and forming a picket line outside a business, trying to form a union.
Business just starts hiring other people to replace them so they can ignore them, who quite literally "cross the picket line" to go to work.
And in those early days, that was how you got your ass beat.

You don't seem to know what a scab is.
