Yeah maybe that’s it. Inquisition also kinda has an in medias res opening, but didn’t strike me the same way. Maybe it’s because the Inquisitor and Hawke are kind of reluctant heroes vs. Rook? 🤔

Maybe if we could play a bit more of Rook’s backstory instead of told about it I might have felt more of an immediate connection. That said, they’ve really grown on me, it just took a bit longer!
