I’d like NATO to propose halting weapon supplies if Russia agrees to an immediate ceasefire. This could push Russia to end the war and allow NATO to use the ceasefire to integrate Ukraine into the EU/NATO while offering serious support/protection. 1/2

Because Scholz, Biden and Macron repeatedly tried to negotiate with Putin, both, before he raided Ukraine and afterwards with no results at all. He isn't even considering Germany a serious negotiation partner (he might be right on that one). 1/2

And Putin sure as hell wont agree to a ceasefire if it means what remains of Ukraine joins the NATO. In fact he stated NATO membership of Ukraine is a red line. so what is your strategy if he wont make concessions or if just isn't open for negotiation as has been the case for the last 3 years? 2/2

I agree that Ukraine joining NATO is ambitious, but a ceasefire deal should appeal to Russia, and avoiding constant bombardment is in Kyiv’s interest too. What alternative do you see especially with Trump in the White House?

Its not ambitious its delusional. A ceasefire without NATO membership would be pointless though. Best alternative would have been full-hearted support of Ukraine when they stood a real chance. This war is very expensive for Putin. economy, demography, reputation all went down the shitter.1/2
