It's funny in a kind of morbid way how you know that scene was that traumatizing based on the fact that pretty much everyone, literally, who has seen it gives those trucks plenty of space because of it.
Say what you will about the special effects in that movie, Final Destination 2 did more for traffic safety than ANY film paid for by the department of transportation in history Lol
Or cinemas, carnivals, drive throughs, dentists, oftalmologists, construction sites, gyms, subways/trains, kitchens, elevators, acupuncturists, cafes, hostpitals, BBQs, bars...
Did I mis any?
The funny thing is that the FD2 Disaster happens the way it did because nearly everyone that avoided the big wreck in 2 were supposed to die in separate events if it was not for the events of the first.
Except actually avoiding the flight from the first film.
The truth is that behind is generally the safest side, they would not slide out until the vehicle rolled sideways. The movie ended up putting everyone at higher risk, as the back side is the safest. You can get run over at the front, the can roll sideways, but friction prevents them from going back.
cool! and thereβs one here! you asked where are you gonna find a sawmill in oregon, well Iβve got one walking distance in oregon. are youβ¦ upset? that we have them??
When I went on a road trip with my mom, literally every time we saw one of these trucks (which was a lot, we were driving through Oregon) we'd be like look, it's our final destination

There's an entire generation ofus kids who sees this and our first instinct is to stay the damn hell two cars length away from it the entire time.
... which is actually quite helpful, as it now puts you right inside the semi driver's side view mirrors.
