It seems every aspect of the life of the alleged killer of UHC's Brian Thompson is being discussed, but hardly anything about why he could get a gun and silencer with seeming ease.

When I become POTUS, I will keep my promise not to mess with the 2nd amendment. However, firearm manufacturers will only be able to market their products as "murder weapons". The bits of Walmart that sell them will also have to be labelled thus.
Not infringing anybody's rights there, am I?
It’s alleged that the suspected weapon is a ghost gun: it’s a weapon made from easily sourced separate parts. They’ll often be blanked but can be opened with drills, CNC. With 3D printers it’s even easier.
Politicians sending out "thoughts and prayers," instead of passing legislation to prevent tragedies, after every mass shooting is some sort of "value."
I’ll be fascinated to see if the fact the victim was a proponent of a key American value, in the rejection of ‘socialised medicine’, will shift the debate on gun control.
I've given up trying to discuss guns with my American friends because it often feels like a flowchart with all routes leading back to "the right to bear arms"!

You can now buy from vending machines!!
...wait, am I saying???
An evil, crass and horrible one.
This year I have been extra-special good. Please may I have a big gun and silencer just like Brad next door and all the other boys at my church.

‘The Second Amendment! It says you have the right to bear arms, or the right to arm bears, whatever the hell you want to do!’
