Yes, it's amazingly popular! You can use my custom feed (pin it to your Feeds) and you'll find there are lots of beginners posting about Minute Cryptic on Bluesky. Some of them are starting to write their own clues!
Some of the clues are bit non-Ximenean (though I've never had a problem with "knucklehead" etc), but it's really exciting reading the comments from some of the tens of thousands watching these clips
(I dislike "first lady"=L, but it's interesting that such indicators crop up in so many puzzles aimed at and enjoyed by beginners. We should be more honest that it's an aesthetic objection - the "fairness" of "first lady" is low down on the list of things which can make crosswords off-putting)
(Most people are introduced to crosswords via the spot-the-indicator route, so don't register a problem with "first lady"=L. In my experience what really makes people 🙄 and do something else is stuff like "appeal"=SA - it'd be healthier to stamp those out)
