I believe Johnson actually wants to help Ukraine (rather the Russia), but he is beholden to partisan politics first and foremost... if the prevailing current within his party is against helping Ukraine, I'm not sure Johnson has the courage to challenge it (unlike McConnell, who did).

Russia is losing ~300 tanks per month, and building ~200 per *year* - they are burning through their reserves, and at current rates have 12-24 months remaining.

Russia had a smaller economy than Italy or S. Korea, they cannot sustain.
