not an easy scope, but rewarding when it all comes together! Most of my issues were the focuser fell off in transit from FLO to N.A. and the primary mirror was jammed in so tight from factory shipping. Looking sorted now. I hope...

I have a 40 year old Celestron C8. I tried to use it for astrophotography but the focuser isn't stable and it suffers from mirror flop. Multi-mirror scopes do have their issues.... Yours seems to be working great now.

This is what stops me from the cele 6 or 8. I took a chance on the StellaLyra and said it might take me 6 months before it worked, it took all of the six months as when it comes to Newts I was def a newbie with no assistance. Colli what? lol

So collimation sounds like an extra step from what I am doing now. I hope it isn't to arduous a task. For me to bring my C8 up to snuff I will have to lock the mirror down somehow and buy a modern linear focuser like refractors use. I think maybe investing in a new scope would be a better use of $$.

my collimation issues were mainly due to the focuser falling off in transit, the factory primary being wedged into the holder and not knowing what I was doing.
It got easier, and if you can collimate an f4 6", you can collimate anything. It was down to forcing the theory into my head correctly.
