The way you added the saturation perfectly to the objects in just the right places is handled wonderfully! And Im sorry but the second image, with what appeared to be the sparkly fish material-- It looks like a disco ball in the end?? I love those little highlights you added to give it more oomf! 💗

Thanks so much ! It’s supposed to be a mermaid tail for cats to go inside but she never used it .. it made for a very fun light study though haha

i love these!!! you did a great job with capturing the diffused light from overcast lighting, and the cast shadows made from a strong direct light... i especially love how the textures come alive in the direct light version of callie's toys!!!

The second one I really enjoyed drawing and the first I got so caught up in trying to capture the details I don’t think it made for a great exercise.

So reminder to myself to go smaller and simpler. Feeling kinda blah about it 😞

Is it hard to set up lighting exactly how you need it for the reference? Or are these just you making it up? Because it looks so realistic

Yea they’re based on photos, my husband is holding a torch offscreen to change the lighting. The study was to find a scene and change the lighting through adjustment layers in Photoshop but for the disco effect I did cheat a little and paint the glow and blurs on top haha
