I really think people need to know more about the tournaments that exist out there Jrs Draft, SeSa, It’s dangerous to go alone. All do amazing things that get people a taste for comp. I’d also think having more people know about SBA (but I’m biased 😛)

Absolutely 💯 I'm glad there are more accessible ways to get into comp that isn't so overwhelming like low ink only. It's great that we have this in the community! Trying to figure out how to get folks to know about this can still be difficult at times.

Special coordination and taking/holding space are the biggest ones for me. Made a massive difference in my old team's gameplay once we got the hang of it, and i feel like theres almost no content going over it

I feel like that is a huge weakness/difficulty for lower level teams. That is definitely something that is talked about in my current teams & teams I've coached. It seems "simple" in theory but execution is another thing.

Basics of how to read the information on screen, and what to do with that information. Things like the HUD, numbers advantage, special advantage, map checks, etc. How to act based on the information and use it to predict what your enemy is going to do.

It’s kinda embarrassing how long it took me to figure out that if I see enemy ink behind me, that means there’s an enemy behind me. And that if my team is all dead and the enemy has specials, I should run away.

Honestly the information you're given is a lot! So much is being told to you during the entire match. Figuring out how to understand & then put into action the things you're seeing & understanding can take a bit. There's nothing to be embarrassed about when it comes to figuring out this game!

It’s much better to play consistently with the same team or group of people. It became really fun to play with my CCA team end of season because I’d spent about 10 or more weeks with each member on the team and by then we knew how we each played which let us execute team plays much more effectively

More specifically, when you’ve played with the same people for a while you learn their tendencies and can know even before the callout what play they’ll make to which you can help the play.

Then you start playing like a team, and team play I think is much more important at low level

It definitely comes down to consistency & practice for low level teams. Getting that experience wins losses etc makes that bond a lot stronger & the drive to keep going. Glad to hear u found some awesome folks!

I got lucky in S2 I found a discord on Tumblr made one joined up met folks joined their team then it exploded from there. It was the stars aligned & I met the right folks.

I know it’s not quite what you are asking for, but these days as a non-comp-but-somewhat-skilled-casual player, easy to digest content for players like me to survive, improve, & get to have some fun in the S+ ranks when constantly matched against Top 2k/1k/500/10 X badges would be most welcome. 😅

Like it could line up somewhat with what you are thinking. Even if a player like me has no intention of going competitive, tips for working with comp players we get matched with in open and series would probably help decrease frustration all around.

It can be hard since you don't have anyway to communicate with your teammates other than "this way" &/or "ouch" which isn't helpful. Honestly great points ill Def work on writing about that as well!

Absolutely 💯 this is still applicable since it's still learning the game & I do want to help bridge that gap.

Personally, finding exactly what you want to improve on can be a daunting task. For me when I play ranked/X I focus on one thing I want to improve could be jumping out as one example.

For sure. Things that seem to be "hidden" to newer gamers. Such as you can win a game if you're stalemate on clams if you make more balls/collect more.
