Nobody wants to hear this but the obvious answer is double down on the Sequel Trilogy. Give it an animated series with our leads set between 8&9 done by people who are genuinely interested in giving new life and angles to these characters and truly make the era an enjoyable time to watch. The novels are really cool showing how Leia formed the Resistance because the Republic was doing fuck all with the rise of fascism within its own ranks and allowing the First Order to basically just do whatever they want, while denying that they had a military presence.

I find that interesting.

People are so willfully forgetful about Prequel hate and how prevalent it was and how literally nobody wanted the 3D Clone Wars at the beginning.
Now we’re in the prequel Renaissance and Lucasfilm can’t stop going back to The Clone Wars.

And I’m a prequel fan. I love them. It’s just clear that public perception of them was at an all time low in the 2000s and early 2010s and only the Millennials and Gen Z have really gotten over that.
The only way out is through.
