My grandmother had 13 children, 3 died from vaccine preventable diseases, 2 were stillborn. My mother almost died from mumps and one sister is partially deaf from measles. Think about those stats! Yes, vaccines save lives.
I had an older brother die of polio when I was one, so I was vaccinated for everything. Am 71 now and keep up with COVID and flu boosters. Vaccines not only save lives, but improve them.
Sorry to hear that. Many survived (have friends who did), but bro spent a year or a little less in an iron lung. Poor little guy. He was 12 when he died.
