The reality for people in sports with big personal brands is they make money off X, whether via employers valuing their follow counts (thus they get paid more), speaker engagements, ad plays, etc.

Will that calculous ever change?

One reason I’m still on that hellscape is I’m trying to figure out what happens to the content I already posted. The other reason is that unfortunately the brands and other companies I deal with still value that place — and I hate it. I’ve turned more attention to here, Youtube and IG.
