That’s a lovely thought, but not all of us. Small businesses can afford to have our own websites or independent businesses. I have two part-time jobs and my Etsy shop just to keep my rent paid. ☹️

I agree! Your own shop wouldn't even be viable! What etsy has, is not only the platform but especially the traffic. They just charge too much and drain the sellers. My point is, that if you see any small sellers in your local community, support them instead.

Just be sure to image search what you want to buy to check that it's not repackaged from an bulk importer. Sadly happens more and more.

ETSY is my first stop for gifts. So many creative people. It’s a shame the big stores are trying to take over in there (TEMU, Wayfair, etc), but there is PLENTY of cool stuff to scroll thru. Got some great fabric gift bags, wooden tags & tree ornaments.

We get asked this a lot (so much so I should really make a page about it). A scented wax that you use in a wax burner (which has a tea light in it) this heats up the wax, melting it, releasing the scent. Similar to a scented candle but way more melted wax so more scent. Gingerbread is my current fav

Will no longer work with Etsy, they did something really terrible when I sold a painting, lost money and the painting. Still working that out with them. But I am artist, just me, I create art, do commissions, pet portraits, people portraits, my shop is in my bio. It’s important to support artists.
