That's true. Skyrim horses can go anywhere. They defy gravity, logic & the space time continuum.

Don’t even need a horse. First time I played Skyrim I zig-zagged and jumped to high hrothgar from riverwood. That path skipped the frost trolls too.

I've been playing Valheim. It provides plenty of opportunities to clinb mountains, go in blazing, or sneak along quietly.

Yeah but did the developers specifically tell you that you could go there? That's where the magic is. I don't even want to climb the mountain, I just want to know that I can.

The Valheim developers count on you to explore the mountains. They also expect you to explore the swamps, plains, forests, meadows, ocean, etc. Valheim also has enumerable worlds to explore, if you desire to do so.
