A recent paper suggests that LC sufferers may be suffering micro vascular ‘mini-strokes’ - if so, would it be odd that the brain impacts are so specific - or are verbal fluency issues just a large subset of a very large group?

Is this mini stroke thought to be offshoot of micro clots? Related to fibrin? My CoRE bloodwork shows no fibrin anomaly. I don’t know if there are other tests to assess micro clot probability.

So the paper doesn’t speak to fibrinogen/mini clots as a source of mini strokes. It mainly looks atcapillary dysfunction because they are so critical to the brain.
I learned a few years ago that blood cells actually change shape to enter capillaries & that in long COVID patients (more)

the blood cells often lose the shape changing ability.That along w systemic inflammation is how I lost the sight in one eye.Two surgeries to repair a full macular hole failed.Little was known about LC at the time; the failure was only attributed to these two issues later after research had come out

I’ve experienced this because of epilepsy but man did COVID make it worse. I used to be winning speech and debate competition and today I struggled to find the word ‘community’. It’s been 6 mo. since my bad bout of covid and it’s completely destroyed my recall.
