ch22 is a bit of a sneak because it's a breeze until you open the throne room and there's no timer on that. and when you do it's either pandora's box and everyone fucking dies or you're just waltzing in stomping everything (depending on whether you went on a boots shopping spree or not)
ch23 is in a weird spot because it leaves a very strong lasting impression but no reinforcements = you get what you see and it's not much but also it's so cool because it fits the narrative to a T. not only is the chapter's name so fucking rad i think about it on a regular basis but also
i *love* characters who remain very headstrong and unfaltering in the face of certain doom, very loyal up until the end yet also appropriately accepting and wistful; trudging along with the awareness that they're heading towards their demise. i just love brunnya so much
ch14 and ch7 are two sides of the same coin. what makes ch7 ch7 is the fact that it happens so early your roster is still undertrained and there's like One viable strategy if you want to rescue everyone + demented hit rate moments aplenty. the flashbacks... marcus tactics are genuinely fun though
and the thing about ch14 is it encapsulates all of FE6's funniest traits. the art of awful units (sophia), insane requirements only the utterly deranged could come up with to get shit that makes the game's experience more rounded/fun (gaidens/warp), general tediousness except you're on the clock
and there's pressure on all sides and you can't rely on your cavaliers anymore and you need to ferry your thief around and your wyrmslayer is reaching its limit and oh god oh fuck you're only halfway through the map. god is it stupid but it's such a fun painful change of pace
