With the PSN network being down for so long, I think itβs a great reminder that one, physical games are important and two, itβs good to have multiple platforms to play on π

More importantly, lets remember the root problem is DRM - it needs to stop. I'm committed to making games 100% DRM free despite being a digital download (printing disks is expensive for a solo dev or small team)
Can you not play digitally bought games if the servers are down? Ngl never tried it before π I've always assumed as long as they're SP games they're playable
Youβre right! Been browsing through Reddit after my post above and learned that apparently offline play needs to be enabled in the settings as well. Irony atm is that PSN needs to function properly to make these changesβ¦ π€·π»ββοΈ
Not quite the same, but with flight simulators, I've seen it happen at least twice now where Microsoft's servers went down, so people weren't able to run Microsoft Flight Simulator. Given that I still run an older flight simulator that doesn't require a server, that issue didn't affect me.
