I've seen every Heisei rider and the absolute imagination and execution of Gavv's fight choreography is in a league of its own, even over my favorite Riders.
My favorite super Sentai season is zyuohger so I always knew this season's head writer was like that. And the fact that it took a rider where she had no restrictions for people to see her greatness is a bit frustrating but also cathartic to see her vision fully realized. KOMURA THE GOAT
Well I'd generally encourage you to torrent the episodes yourself with bittorrent or something, but if you're not comfortable doing that there's sites like Tokuzilla and Zokaj which hosts Toku content. But they're very ad-heavy so I'd advise adblock and caution.
YESSSS SAAAAME, and like. completely same in regards to how this might become my favourite rider series. This shit's so good. I haven't seen fight choreography that's had me this stunned as I'm watching it in quite a while, Gavv is everything I love about KR in one.
It's hard to express to onlookers what makes Gavv stand out next to the likes of other Reiwa series. For me it's the fact it brings in the best of all eras. Dark undertones of showa, melodrama of Heisei P1, creative gimmicks of Heisei P2 and the spectacle of Reiwa. It's a "Best of" kamen rider.
Absolutely agreed. I think I mentioned it before? But this is the first time I'm keeping up with a KR series as it's ongoing and I really feel like I couldn't have gotten luckier. This is such a special series.
Something that consistently makes me happy about it is that (1/3)
It's a *very* confident show. Something I get very fatigued with in a lot of western superhero stuff is that it can feel quite insecure, like it has to point out how silly it is or else it'll be made fun of (2/3)
But Gavv both allows itself to be silly as hell *and* treat itself as a serious work. It's very good at knowing how to strike that balance. It doesn't make fun of itself, because it *shouldn't*. In tone it manages to have its cake and eat it too - and that's *caking! amazing!* (3/3)
