100% they should have shown the immediate aftermath outside of that torture p*rn episode. I would have rather seen that journey over the Negan/Whisperers mess.

I love the Stalker episode. Beta stealthily entering Alexandria through an empty grave, rampaging through Alexandria Michael Myers | Halloween style! Felt very cinematic.
I liked the idea hated the execution. Knowing that showing Lydia was alive was all it would take for Alpha to lose her power over them made it irritating. Also Carol could have easily gotten to Alpha w/o Negan. Beta was the bigger enemy & even fighting him fell flat.
I liked the idea that walkers would mutate & potentially become smarter. At some point they were only dangerous to the stupid or over confident so making them more dangerous to everyone again was interesting to me. Beta's mental breakdown was interesting to watch though.
It's interesting to see how walkers behaved in earlier seasons vs later seasons. I remember in S1E2 when they were trapped in the mall, one of the walkers used a brick to break the window. I don't mind making changes to walkers, I hate the inconsistency. Smart walkers were introduced then dropped.
I thought I was the only one who noticed that season one walkers were doing crazy shit lol, pretty sure they could climb too- thought it was interesting they regressed after lol
Yeah, I think that was a showrunner changing thing & in the end they tried to slide it back in there with no real explanation 🤣 I like to think of it as a virus that's mutating & the s1/s11 walkers were a different variant from the ones in the seasons in between.

I also hated the concept of "smart walkers" they can climb ladders and pick up weapons 🙄🙄🙄
