I actually didn't grow up in church. My parents instilled values that aligned with Jesus's teaching. They felt religion is personal and up to my brother and I to decide. I am Christian, though I left organized religion.
As long as we can all agree that human beings came up with the shit and magical creatures in the sky don't exist, I care not for your individual beliefs.
I believe religion, whether you choose to believe or not, is completely a personal choice. I raised my daughter the same way. I urged her to explore and find her path. For a time, I thought she was going to be an atheist. But as she got into her late 20s, she became Christian. 🤷♀️
