I'm finding it a mixed bag. Lots to features and usability for free, but im finding it really prescriptive in how it works and how you should be working, and i'm butting heads with it a lot.
I suspect you're in the wrong part of things. It should read Azure DevOps as in top left of picture. Go to https://dev.azure.com and sign up there. I believe you have the wrong service as I did. Or try... https://aex.dev.azure.com/me if that doesn't work. I think you're stuck in some other product and not DevOps.
I've played a good bit with customizing it. maybe I'm missing something, But it really wants you to stick with Agile and it shows. I work more off a Fragment/Facet/Feature build process and tracking work on items across multiple dimensions ( code, art, sound, input etc) seems complex to set up.
